A MAN caught driving while banned from the roads has been ordered to do unpaid work.

Nicholas Bryden pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Fiesta while he was disqualified in Tempest Avenue, Waterlooville.

The 36-year-old was banned from driving for six months.

He was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next year by Portsmouth magistrates.

Bryden pleaded guilty to a charge driving the car without any insurance on the same day.

However magistrates decided to impose no separate penalty.
