MEAT thief Tyrone Holdford has been given a conditional discharge.

Holdford, 28, of Tennyson Crescent, Waterlooville, pleaded guilty to stealing three joints of meat worth a total of £72.19 from a Tesco store in Havant.

He was given an 18-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

Holdford admitted a further offence which was taken into consideration, however details were not revealed. He was told to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
