Attacker followed his victim for a mile before assault in city alleyway

MAGISTRATES have fined a man for driving without due care and attention.

Mark Norval, from Milton Road, Waterlooville, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Citroen Saxo in Laburnum Road, Waterlooville.

Norval also pleaded guilty to failing to stop the vehicle when he was required to do so by a police officer in Mill Road, Waterlooville.

And the 33-year-old admitted a third charge of failing to take action to stop noise and exhaust emissions coming from the vehicle while it was stationary in Waitland Close, Waterlooville.

Norval was fined £300.

He was ordered to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.

Portsmouth magistrates added five penalty points to Norval’s driving licence.
