A MAN caught in possession of cannabis has been fined by the courts.

Joseph Camilleri, 26, from Jodrell Close, Waterlooville, pleaded guilty to having the class B drug on him while in Portsmouth.

He was fined £175 by magistrates.

Camilleri was ordered to pay £20 to a fund for victims of crime.

He must also pay £85 in court costs.

An order was made for the cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
