DRINK-DRIVER Barry Watson has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Watson, 24, of Puffin Walk, Waterlooville, admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra in Lovedean Lane, Waterlooville, after drinking too much on June 11.

A test revealed his breath contained 59 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Watson was told to pay £300 in a fine and costs by Portsmouth magistrates. He was banned from driving for a year.
