A MAN caught driving while disqualified has been told to do unpaid work.

Benjamin Brown, from Rimington Road, Waterlooville, admitted driving a Peugeot on the M27 near Portsmouth while banned from getting behind the wheel on June 16.

The 27-year-old was given a community order stating that he must do 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year.

He was told to pay £85 in court costs by Fareham magistrates.

And six penalty points were added to his driving licence.

Brown also pleaded guilty to driving the car without insurance.

However no separate penalty was imposed.
