THE widow of a man killed at work has spoken out after the company was fined £65,000.

Lindsay Campbell, 66, of Waterlooville, died when the bucket of a digger he and another man were working from tipped forward, sending them onto concrete in 2012.

Kevin Hoare, 65, of Lavey’s Lane, Fareham, the sole shareholder of South Coast Skips Ltd, was handed a suspended prison sentence after admitting a health and safety charge.

The company was fined £65,000. His widow Julie Campbell said: ‘We all miss him, more than words can say, but because of his “can do” attitude to life, that we saw every day and that we do not want to let him or his memory down, we have managed to get through it together, day by day.

‘Even after more than two years.’

‘I still miss him terribly and the children have told me that they do also.’
