POLICE hunting for a man who indecently assaulted a teenage girl want to speak to a potential witness.

POLICE hunting for a man who indecently assaulted a teenage girl want to speak to a potential witness.

Detective Constable Mike Strangeway said an old male dog-walker wearing a cap near Hilsea Lido on April 15 may have vital information.

It comes after a 16-year-old girl was assaulted at Hilsea Lido in Portsmouth between 9pm and 9.15pm.

The suspected victim has yellow and blackened teeth, was white, in his early 20s and clean shaven.

Det Con Strangeway said: ‘We have issued this new information relating to the offender’s description in the hope that someone will be able to make a link to someone they have seen or know.

‘We are also keen to speak with an older man wearing a cap who the victim remembers was walking a dog in the area around the time of the incident.

‘This man may have seen the offender before or after the incident and could hold vital information.’
