AN EXPENSIVE computer and jewellery were taken in a burglary.

Police are seeking witnesses to the raid on a house in Silvertrees, Emsworth, on Tuesday.

Between 1pm and 5.15pm someone forced their way into the property by smashing a downstairs bay window at the rear of the house.

Once inside they took several items, including an Apple MacBook Pro computer valued at £1000, a Sanyo netbook laptop, several items of jewellery and a Slazenger sports holdall, before leaving through the rear patio doors.

PC Lucia Davies said: ‘This burglary happened in a very small time frame on a well lit afternoon. There may well have been witnesses in the locality. We are appealing for anyone who saw it happen to come forward.

‘This burglary should not alarm local residents, but please be aware of any suspicious vehicles and people by reporting them to police – especially those calling at houses and offering services.’

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
