POLICE are hunting for a man who assaulted an 18-year-old woman outside a fast food store after he tried to kiss her.

The woman was walking past Subway in Commercial Road, Landport, and was on her way home after being out with friends when she was approached by the man.

Another man walking by in the street then walked the victim home after the attack, which took place at around 1.45am on Sunday, May 27.

The offender is described as being of mixed race with short spiky hair and sideburns.

He was wearing brown trousers and a black t-shirt with patterns on the front.

He is believed to be 18 years of age, tall and of skinny build. He spoke in a foreign accent.

Detective Constable Julie Way said: ‘We are particularly keen to speak to a man who may have witnessed the incident and walked the victim home. Please contact us if you are this person or know who he may be.’
