A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with arson following a fire at her terraced home.

Theresa Frost, 46, was arrested after the blaze broke out at the two-bedroomed council-owned property in Middle Park Way, Leigh Park, at about 3am on Sunday.

Ms Frost wept as she stood flanked by two security officers in the glass-panelled dock at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

She spoke only to confirm her name, address, and date of birth.

District Judge Anne Arnold remanded Frost in custody to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court next month.
