PORTSMOUTH MURDER: Police search drains for ‘discarded evidence’

A 28-YEAR old woman has been found dead at a flat in Southsea.

Police officers were called to an address in Clarendon Road, Southsea, at 10.30am yesterday.

A 28-year-old woman was found dead and a 20-year-old man was arrested in Clarendon Road.

The man has now been released from custody without charge.

Hampshire police said circumstances surrounding the death are unclear and officers are investigating.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, and is being classed as sudden death.

Formal identification will be taking place today, with police likely to confirm the woman’s identity on Monday.
