A WOMAN was taken to hospital after suffering a shot wound from an air rifle.

Paramedics were called to Chapel Street, Petersfield, at about 1.10pm.

The woman, aged between 18 and 21, was treated by ambulance crews and taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police also attended and said the injury was not serious.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘We were called because of a head injury and an air rifle at the scene.

‘No-one else was involved.’
