The Isle of Wight festival has got under way and the crowds are already throwing themselves into the spirit.
As soon as the gates opened into the arena at the festival this afternoon, crowds poured through the gates.
And with stars such as Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris and Rudimental to come later today, spirits are high.
Pete Howells, 50, from Shirley Road in Southsea, was there with his son Iori, 10, who is a huge Biffy fan.
Pete said: ‘We got here first thing this morning, we came over on the hovercraft and we got in as soon as the festival opened.
‘We’re just taking it all in.’
Iori added: ‘I love Biffy, I’ve seen them before at the O2, they were amazing. And I’m looking forward to Calvin Harris a little bit too.’
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline tomorrow night, with Kings of Leon headlining Sunday.
