KIND-HEARTED fundraisers will use pedal power to raise cash in memory of a popular landlady.

The sponsored cycle ride will call at four pubs that Jean Wright used to run with her husband Graham.

Mrs Wright died in June from cancer aged just 60.

Her friends and family have since rallied to create the Jean Wright Memorial Fund and have set about holding fundraisers in her name in aid of the Brain Tumour charity.

They have raised around £3,000 so far and hope to reach £26,000.

The next fundraiser will see a group of around 40 people cycle approximately 50 miles from Salisbury to Drayton on Sunday, October 11.

The ride starts at 10am at the Hampton Inn in Sarisbury, and call in at the Village Inn in Swanwick and the Sir Joseph Paxton in Titchfield, before finishing at Indian restaurant the Spice Village, which used to be the New Inn, in Drayton.
