DARING fundraisers abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower to raise awareness for a charity that works to improve the lives of the world’s poorest children.

Geoff Cannell took part in the challenge on Friday, May 29 with his 23-year-old daughter Grace in aid of the World Vision charity and their efforts to assist child refugees.

The daring duo dangled their way down 94 metres, while Geoff’s wife Toni and World Vision child sponsor and ambassador Sue Tinney gave their support from the ground.

Geoff, who is also an ambassador for the charity, hopes to raise £2,000 by completing a number of challenges this year – and he has already raised more than £1,000.

All donations will go to the charity’s ‘Barefoot and Coatless’ campaign.
