SCORES of actors that have played Billy Elliot came together for a spectacular finale, including a teenager from Fareham.

Billy Elliot the Musical has been playing in London for almost a decade and it brought back 25 of its leading cast members for a dance.

Redmand Rance, from Fareham, played the famous dancer more than 170 times between 2012 and 2014 and he joined 24 other Billys for the finale. Redmand, who is 14 years old, began dancing from the age of four and in 2011 he won the Modern Duet category of the All England Dance Finals.

Director Stephen Daldry said: ‘We were thrilled to welcome so many of our former Billys back to the Victoria Palace for this very special performance.

‘We’ve been delighted to see them flourish as performers since their time in the show and it was wonderful to bring them together again for this unique event.’

Based on the hit film, Billy Elliot the Musical follows the story of a young boy in a 1980s northern mining town who dreams of being a dancer.
