A GARDEN is opening its gates for charity.

Christine Tait, from Fareham, is opening her gold medal garden and displaying her beautiful coloured flowers in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Christine’s garden was awarded gold standard in Fareham in Bloom.

She wants to raise money for Cancer Research UK in tribute to family members and friends who have been lost to cancer.

On the open day there will be tea, coffee and snacks. Books and plants will also be on sale.

Christine said to look out for her succulent plants which will be on display.

She said: ‘The event is aimed at anyone of any age.

‘People will enjoy the garden show because there is such a variety of colour.’

The open garden day takes place at 51 Longmynd Drive, Fareham between 10am and 5pm on Sunday, July 14.

Entry to the garden costs £2 which goes to the charity.
