FRUIT-THEMED fun awaits visitors as a museum prepares to celebrate an anniversary.

Westbury Manor Museum, in West Street, Fareham, is celebrating its 25th birthday tomorrow.

The museum was opened in June 1990 and is inviting people to a free strawberry-themed day to celebrate the milestone.

There will be strawberry-themed activities with museum objects to handle, and a make-your-own strawberry basket to take away.

Volunteers will be giving short tours of the strawberry museum gallery on the hour, every hour, where visitors can find out more about the local strawberry trade.

With the fruity theme continuing into the tea room, there will be cake and strawberry teas.

The Friends of Fareham Museum, who played a key role in setting up the museum 25 years ago, will be there with a display of the museum’s history.

The birthday Strawberry Fair will take place tomorrow from 10.30am to 4pm and admission is free.
