HMS Collingwood is making preparations for its annual open day, featuring the Royal Navy and a host of attractions, including a free funfair.

Promising fun for the whole family, crowds can watch 20 teams from around the globe compete for the Brickwoods Trophy - awarded to the winners of the Royal Marine Charity Field Gun Competition.

The event raises money for local and naval charities. It will be held on Saturday, June 1, from 9.30am until 5pm. Advance tickets are £6 for an adult and £4 for children, or £8 on the day. Special prices are also available for families.
