THE Portsmouth branch of the Royal British Legion is to hold a remembrance service on the 69th anniversary of D-Day.

It will be held from 10.30am on Thursday at the memorial stone, located near South Parade Pier, placed there to commemorate the beginning of the battle of Normandy which eventually saw Europe liberated from the Nazis.

All are welcome.
