Flags raised for military
SUPPORT for the armed forces community was shown in the lead-up to Armed Forces Day.
A ceremony was held in Havant, led by the Mayor of Havant Faith Ponsonby, and a flag was raised at The Plaza.
Cllr Ponsonby said she was ‘honoured’ to raise the flag.
Elsewhere, personnel from the Royal Navy, army and Royal Air Force paraded through Winchester yesterday.
The Armed Forces Day Flag was raised outside the Great Hall and it will be flown until Armed Forces Day on Saturday.
