TWO former Type 22 frigates are now expected to be towed for scrap next week.

Campbeltown and Cumberland, two decommissioned Royal Navy warships, are bound for a Turkish shipbreaker.

Campbeltown is expected to be towed on Monday or Tuesday.

Cumberland is planned for departure on Wednesday.

A date for the departure of Cornwall, a fourth frigate which will go to a UK shipyard, has not been set.
