KOREAN navy officers have paid a visit to HMS Collingwood to meet their Royal Navy counterparts.

The group of 50 junior officers from the ships Kang Gam Chan and Dae Cheong spent a day at the base, touring the weapon engineering training centre and Royal Navy leadership academy.

The officers took part in a ‘fall of faith’, where they volunteered to stand on a platform and fall backwards into the waiting arms of their colleagues.

Midshipman Sang Jin Jeong, 23, pictured, said he enjoyed the visit to the base.

After taking part in the fall of faith, he said: ‘I really enjoyed that, it was so much fun.

‘I trust my team so I knew I could drop safely. This is important in our navy.’
