HISTORIC military sites in the area are being advertised as part of a new tourism guide.

The Defence of the Realm pocket guide recommends visits to sites including Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth Fortifications, the D-Day Museum and Overlord Embroidery, Southsea Castle, the Royal Marines Museum, the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, the Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower, Portchester Castle, Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson and the Royal Military Police Museum near Fareham.
