THE Royal Navy’s sixth and final new Type 45 destroyer has had its arrival in Portsmouth delayed after a technical hitch.
HMS Duncan was due to leave the BAE Systems shipyard in Glasgow on Friday, but was delayed because of a technical problem.
The firm has now said she will make her departure tomorrow at 2.30pm, delaying her first ever arrival in Portsmouth this week.
A spokesman said a new arrival date will be confirmed later this week.
The problem was with a high pressure valve system, which provides oil-free air to various parts of the ship.
