ROYAL Navy officers and staff from HMS Collingwood took on a cycling challenge for charity.

Altogether, 10 people cycled 77 miles from Fareham to Twickenham.

The challenge was put down by the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity.

Sue Freeman was among those taking part.

She said: ‘We all got sunburnt.

‘It was really good fun and it was great to be able to raise awareness of the charity.’

It took the team just under five hours to complete the distance.

The charity helps provide a better quality of life for serving and former naval service personnel, which includes the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Maritime Reserves.
