Pictures taken by News photographers have captured the solemnity of remembrance.

The photographs were taken during Armistice Day services in Fareham, Gosport, Havant and Portsmouth.

The Remembrance Service held in Guildhall Square on Sunday morning was conducted by The Chaplain to the City Council, The Very Reverend David Brindley, Dean of Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral and The Reverend Canon David Hopgood of St John's Roman Catholic Cathedral with members of all of Her Majesty's Services present together with The Portsmouth Citadel Salvation Army Band and Corps of Drums and The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines. After the main service they took leave for The Cenotaph to lay wreaths and then to The World War 2 Memorial ''Picture: Malcolm Wells (123669-2244)
