DRUMMERS from HM Royal Marines Band Portsmouth show they mean business before performing at the Royal Albert Hall in April.

Lining up for a photo shoot at the Royal Marines Museum in Eastney, the band proudly displayed their new drums which have been specially made for them by Pearl.

They have been a year in production and take over from a previous make and model, which the band has used for the past 25 years.

The band will performs at the Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall in London from Thursday, April 12 to Saturday, April 14.

The concert features the Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines performing a wide variety of music, encompassing traditional military marches and fanfares, a classical overture and well-known music from stage and screen.

Tickets for the annual event cost from £12 to £35.

All profits will be distributed to a number of charities, with the main beneficiary being CLIC Sargent which cares for children with cancer and provides support for families at home and in hospital from the day of diagnosis onwards.
