Remembering the fallen

PEOPLE are being urged to take 20 minutes out of their day to pay their respects to victims of the Holocaust.

The public are being invited to a ceremony on Sunday at Havant Cemetery.

It falls on Holocaust Memorial Day to mark the anniversary of the day the Allies liberated the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp 68 years ago.

The ceremony will feature tributes and readings to unite the community’s many minority groups. The service starts at 2.30pm at the cemetery in Eastern Road.
