ROYAL Navy sailors dressed up as figures from history for a fun run to raise money for an armed forces charity.

Leading Physical Trainer Ross McEvoy, dressed as Admiral Lord Nelson, organised the Trafalgar Fun Run at HMS Sultan in Gosport.

LPT McEvoy said: ‘There was a great mix of people from across the ship’s company.

‘The fun run theme really inspired everyone to get involved with raising some money for charity and to have a bit of fun.’

Prizes were given out at the end of the race to the best dressed sailors.

One of the teams to win an award was given to servicewomen taking part in the Engineering Technician Marine Engineer course, who dressed as the ‘pink ladies’ from the musical Grease.
