Proposals were made to move the two schools to MOD Lyneham in Wiltshire. But it has been decided by the Ministry of Defence to stay put.

Ms Dinenage said: ‘I’m thrilled to hear these schools which provide outstanding training to navy personnel are set to remain at HMS Sultan.

‘Training facilities such as these are vital to ensuring our personnel are equipped with the skills they need.’
