A SUPERMARKET chain is raising cash for an armed forces charity across the area.

Help for Heroes volunteers in Portsmouth, Havant, Gosport and Fareham will be collecting cash with buckets and selling merchandise.

The fundraiser is going on this Saturday and Sunday.

Bryn Parry is the co-founder and chief executive of Help for Heroes.

He said: ‘At H4H we rely heavily on our wonderful volunteers. This weekend they’ll be giving up their time to do their bit at their local Asda store.

‘We’d love for as many people as possible to support them while they’re out doing their weekly shop and help make this challenge a huge success.

‘Sailors, soldiers and airmen who are injured today will still need our support tomorrow and in the days that follow, for the rest of their lives.

‘They are still battling and we won’t let them battle alone.’
