CHEFS onboard Portsmouth-based HMS Kent cooked up sweet treats for the ship’s company to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The chefs cooked up a storm in the galley of the Type 23 frigate – with a giant heart-shaped biscuit dedicated to loved ones back home as the centrepiece.

Leading Chef Spence Mhlanga said: ‘We may be away from home, and our loved ones, but we wanted to remind them just how much we love and miss them.’

HMS Kent returned from operations in the Gulf late last year and is on an exercise off Norway.
