War films at Portsmouth museum

FILMS with footage from the Second World War will be screened at a museum.

The D-Day Museum will be showing footage of the Home Front and Allied forces in Normandy after D-Day.

The films include ‘They also serve’ which highlights the role of the British housewife, and ‘The Broad Fourteens’ which depicts the battles fought by motor torpedo boats in the English Channel.

The films will be shown between 7.30pm and 9pm on Thursday and admission is free.
