MAJOR delays are affecting some train services from Portsmouth.

The delays of up to half an hour have been caused by a lightning strike near Hove.

Lightning caused electrical supply problems on the line between Worthing and Hove, causing delays of up to half an hour. This is expected to continue to at least 3pm.

Lines affected are operated by Southern.

Engineering work between Guildford and London caused some delays to earlier South West Trains.
