NATURE-lover Louise MacCallum has spoken of her amazement after seeing a large bird of prey in Langstone Harbour.

Ms MacCallum, from Langstone Harbour Board, saw an osprey as she took people on a boat tour.

She said: ‘In a dazzling moment of luck an osprey appeared and began plunge diving into the water to catch fish. Ospreys pass through the harbour on migration back to Africa during late August/September each year, but being in the right place at the right time to see them is not easy. We were very lucky – it was definitely the highlight of my day.’
