WORKERS raised £500 for charity by wearing football shirts to work.

Staff at Covers Timbers and Building Merchants in Portsmouth and Gosport dressed up on April 17.

The cash will go to the Bobby Moore fund for Cancer Research UK. Ben Gale, from Covers, said: ‘We’ve got a lot of avid football fans here at Covers so they jumped at the chance.’
