THE Diocese of Portsmouth has announced a new roster of appointments to churches.

Kim Weeks is to be the lay pastoral worker for the North End Team Ministry from June 24.

The Rev Canon Karina Green, vicar at Portsea St George, will be priest in charge at St Alban in West Leigh. She will be licensed on July 31.

The Rev Richard Saunders will be vicar at St Mary Magdelene and will be licensed on September 18.

Veronica Brown is to be ordained deacon at Portsmouth Cathedral on June 30 at midday. She will serve at The Minster Church of St Thomas and St John.

On the same day, Thomas James will be ordained as deacon and will service at St Peter in Petersfield.

He is followed by Peter Lambert, who will serve his title at Christ Church and Holy Trinity in Gosport, Anne McCabe, who will serve her title at Christ Church in Portsdown, and Dawn Oakley, who will be ordained to serve her title at St Blasius, Shanklin.

Christine Prior-Jones will serve at Steep, All Saints and Froxfield with Privett.

Keith Wickert will be ordained to serve at Fareham, Holy Trinity with Columba and Mark Tariq will be ordained deacon to serve his title at St Mary in Liss.

Anthony Forrest will be ordained priest at Portsmouth Cathedral from 6pm and will continue in North End Portsmouth Team Ministry.

The Venerable Martin Poll will be the Principal Chaplain and Archdeacon for the Royal Navy, Canon of Saint George’s Chapel, Windsor, and chaplain to the Great Park from October 1.
