Travel back in time and marvel at the history of some of the world’s most famous naval attractions in Portsmouth.
Residents of Portsmouth and Gosport will be invited to make the most of the national Heritage Open Days scheme, which is taking place between September 10 and 13.
Visitors will be able to take part in free exclusive tours of attractions, into areas not normally accessible to the public and learn all about the fascinating 800-year history of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
On Saturday, September 12, guests can go behind the scenes of the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower in Gosport.
With a guided tour of Priddy’s Hard visitors will learn about the collection of small arm in building 308, which is usually of- limits to the public.
These heritage events are free, but certain exhibitions may apply additional costs.
