THE FIRST programme of events has been announced for the area’s newest museum.

The multi-million pound Novium, in Tower Street, Chichester, houses ancient artefacts going back to Roman times, including the remains of Chichester’s bath house.

Tours of the collection will be held every Wednesday at 11am and 2pm.

On August 16 there will be a finds identification afternoon where people can learn more about archeological treasures they’ve discovered.

It’s between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

Children’s workshops on mosaics and homemade paper will take place on August 23 and 30.

They begin at 1pm and finish at 3pm and cost £7.50.
