DEVELOPERS will set out plans to create 140 new homes.

The development consultation forum will give councillors and members of residents’ associations the chance to ask questions about the proposals for land to the west of Horndean Road, in Emsworth.

The site has already been earmarked for housing by Havant Borough Council in its Local Plan.

The area is prone to flooding and the developer, Bidwells, has put forward a scheme which it hopes will alleviate the problems, including the creation of a water storage pond.

At a recent exhibition on the proposals residents voiced fears that Emsworth was losing its character with the more green gaps that are eaten up by housing.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the forum but cannot join the debate.

There will be a chance to complete a feedback form at the end.

The consultation will take place on December 9 in the council chamber at Havant’s Public Service Plaza at 6pm.
