A COMPETITION has begun to find the ultimate games room in the United Kingdom.

The competition, which is run by Home Leisure Direct, calls for people who have created the perfect room to hang out with their friends in.

Winning the competition comes with a £4,000 prize and a vintage Terminator 2 pinball machine.

Last year’s winner was Chris Embling from Ackworth, Yorkshire, who built his games room in memory of his late son, Rory.

His room contained a pool table, bar, jukebox and draft ales, with the ceiling decorated in sports memorabilia.

Andy Beresford, managing director of Home Leisure Direct, said: ‘There is such a wealth of magnificent games rooms out there, it’s a shame that the general public don’t often get to see them.
