A LABRADOR Rescue Centre is hosting a fun event to raise money for the charity.

The dog show takes place on Sunday, June 24, at the Selsey Centre, Manor Road, Selsey, in aid of the Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England (LRRSE).

The fundraiser includes a talent show with a panel of three judges, as well as fun games for dogs, a tombola, games for children, face-painting, various stalls and refreshments. There will even be an opportunity to get your photo taken with a rescued barn owl. The talent show is open to all dog breeds who have a special talent or can do a trick.

There are many different categories which all dogs to enter, such as Golden Oldie (for dogs over eight), Dog Most Like Owner, Most Handsome Dog, Best Puppy (for pups from six to 12 months), and many more. The winner of the Best in Show category will receive a cup, rosette, and special goodie bag.

Charity trustee Jean Henman said: ‘The show is open to all dogs but is in aid of labradors to help us pay for vet bills as we get dogs well.’ The event costs £2 on the door, and is from 11am-5pm.
