A CHARITY football match has raised hundreds of pounds for CLIC Sargeant in memory of Ali Peart.

The match was held at Portchester AFC to raise money for CLIC Sargeant - a charity that helped the 22-year-old from Cosham, before she died from a brain tumour.

Ali’s cousin Simon Mead, 29, also from Cosham, organised the match along with friends Ross Turner and Dan Sillence.

They were overjoyed to receive such a response and to raise £716.

Manor House XI beat sporting club Creme de Menthe 6-3 and raised the Ali Peart Cup as dozens of spectators watched.

The friends are considering running the event every year. To donate visit justgiving.com/simonmead.
