RESIDENTS are being urged to donate their old tools to people who are less fortunate.

Cosham Rotary Club will hold a collection point for old equipment in High Street, Cosham, during Cosham Community Day from around 9am on February 23.

The club is collecting items for Tools for Self Reliance so the charity can send them off to Africa.

Cosham Community Day will see local people and businesses spending the day on High Street to promote the area.

The rotary club will also celebrate Rotary International’s 113th anniversary on the day.

Cosham rotary club member Paul Goehlert said: ‘The idea is to help others that are less fortunate.

‘We hope to see as many people as possible come along to support us.

‘It should be a great occasion.’
