MORE than £4,500 has been raised to remember Missy, the Bus Stop Cat.

Donations from as far as the US and Australia have flooded in towards a memorial for Missy, who was a regular sight at the number 39 stop in Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park, and is believed to have been run over by a car.

The appeal was set up by bus driver Craig Cockram and had a target of £500.

Kristi, from the USA, posted: ‘God has a special place for Missy. She touched so many lives. I wish I’d known her.’
