SUPERMARKETS have clubbed together to give £4,000 to a cancer charity.

Waitrose stores in Gosport, Havant, Southsea and Waterlooville were among 10 that gave to The Haven in Titchfield.

The new breast cancer support centre will help people with the condition.

Waitrose head of retail operations, Tim Smit, said: ‘The Haven provide a wonderful support system to those diagnosed with cancer. ‘We are pleased that our Waitrose branches have been able to work together to help donate to this fantastic cause.’

The Haven opens in 2015.
