DOWNTON Abbey star Hugh Bonneville has donated his family’s Lego collection to a Hampshire library.

The actor, also known for his role in Paddington, donated the collection to the New Milton Library in New Milton for children to enjoy.

His donation came after the library’s staff heard the actor talking on BBC Radio 4 that he needed to sort out the vast collection.

Youngsters from the library’s construction club will be able to play with the toy.

The library has expressed its gratitude to the star for his donation as he also came to meet some of the children.
