A PUB is set to host a 10-day beer festival with brews from across the country.

It will be the fourth annual beer festival at the Hole in the Wall, in Great Southsea Street, Southsea.

Landlord John McKerracher is expecting hundreds of people to attend the festival which will see 50 barrels of beer, including stout, mild, IPA and bitter, brought in.

There will also be some unusual, fruity brews.

He said: ‘It’s a very popular event.

‘People come from all over. Last year we had a couple down from Glasgow, just because they had heard how good it was.

‘It’s a small, cosy pub with a great, friendly atmosphere where people meet for the first time and after a few minutes they’re talking like old friends.’

The festival is from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 9.
